On behalf of our administration, faculty, and staff of the Bergen County Academies, I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. As always, we are committed to assisting students in becoming lifelong learners. The Bergen County Academies has a rich history, a caring community, and a spirit of innovation that permeates our campus. We are proud to provide amazing opportunities through rigorous academics, career and technical education, on-campus research, global experiences, the arts, as well as a vast number of extracurricular activities and athletics. Pooja Rayapaneni, 17, Samiya Pathak, 17, and Jisae Son, 16, all attend Bergen County Academies, a career technical high school in Hackensack.
The three recently talked to the USA TODAY Network about their concerns about the current climate change crisis. Rayapaneni resides in Paramus, Pathak in Waldwick, and Son in Old Tappan.
