  • Financial Support for Graduating Students with Disabilities - Connections for the Future Scholarship

    The goal of the Connections for the Future Scholarship is to provide financial support and recognition of students with disabilities graduating from a PUBLIC SCHOOL PROGRAM as they pursue post-secondary training, education or other opportunities.

    The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) allowed for the development of college programs such as the Certificate in General Education Studies (CGES) to support the needs of the under-served group of individuals considered to have intellectual or developmental disabilities who are college-bound.

    Students participate in a career pathway credentialing course and have the opportunity to graduate with professional industry recognized credentials as well as a Certificate of Achievement through the Division of Continuing Education.

  • Success 101: A College Readiness Course

    Success 101: A College Readiness Course HomeFirst Time StudentsSuccess 101: A College Readiness Course Success 101 is a 3-credit college readiness course designed to prepare students for the rigors and expectations of higher education. Students who take this course experience Bergen Community College’s support team of tutors, counselors, librarians, learning communities, workshops, events, clubs, student organizations, and the OneStop.
